Broncos Call Peyton Manning ‘Papa John,’ Postgame Locker Room Video Reveals

The Denver Broncos are well aware that their quarterback is one of the biggest pitch men in all of sports.

Peyton Manning is known not only as one of the NFL’s most prolific passers of all time, but also for never turning down the opportunity to be a spokesperson. From insurance to satellite TV, there’s not a whole lot he won’t try to sell.

That includes pizza, of course, which Manning has shilled for years in his Papa John’s commercials. So it probably shouldn’t come as much of a surprise Manning’s teammates refer to him as “Papa John.”

Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak gave out the game ball following the Broncos’ Thursday night win over the Kansas City Chiefs, and as it became clear Manning was going to get it, a chorus of “Papa John” calls started.

We just wish he could have somehow gotten the Nationwide jingle into his brief pregame speech.
