The Boston Red Sox start a four-game series with the New York Yankees on Monday, but they’re still giving rest to the players who need it.

David Ortiz and Rusney Castillo will take a seat for Monday night’s game, as 39-year-old Ortiz has played 142 games this year, and the young outfield has received little rest in the last month. Allen Craig will start as the designated hitter and bat sixth, while Brock Holt will play in right field and bat fifth.

Mookie Betts will shift from right to center field, and Jackie Bradley Jr. will play in left. Deven Marrero also will play third base with Holt in the outfield, and he’ll bat eighth.

Eduardo Rodriguez will be on the hill for the Red Sox in what interim manager Torey Lovullo said Sunday most likely would be the rookie left-hander’s last start of the season. Lovullo also said Rodriguez would be limited to about six innings.

The 22-year-old went five innings in his previous start against the Yankees on Aug. 31, giving up two runs (one earned) with three walks and four strikeouts.

Here are both teams’ lineups for Monday’s matchup.
