Jack Warner is out of the game and he’s not coming back.

FIFA announced on its website Tuesday it has banned Warner from all soccer activities for life. FIFA’s Ethics Committee handed down the ultimate punishment to Warner, a former vice president, Executive Committee member and president of CONCACAF, following its investigation into the bidding process for the right to host the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups.

“Mr. Warner was found to have committed many and various acts of misconduct continuously and repeatedly during his time as an official in different high-ranking and influential positions at FIFA and CONCACAF,” FIFA said in a statement. “In his positions as a football official, he was a key player in schemes involving the offer, acceptance, and receipt of undisclosed and illegal payments, as well as other money-making schemes.”

Warner left FIFA on his own accord in 2011 amid bribery allegations. FIFA began investigating Warner’s alleged misconduct during the most recent World Cup bidding process earlier this year and found he had broken several of its rules.

Warner, 72, is one of 14 FIFA officials arrested in May on corruption and racketeering charges. He currently is in his native Trinidad and Tobago fighting extradition to the United States.
