Ryan Hollweg is a rock star trapped in a hockey player’s body.

Hollweg, who spent parts of five seasons in the NHL, has since moved on to play in the Czech Extralinga over in Czech Republic. He seems to be enjoying himself quite a bit, if a recent postgame stunt is any indication.

Following HC Plzen’s recent win over Karlovy, Hollweg decided to give a unique twist on an old tradition of thanking the fans for their support. Hollweg grabbed a guitar and headed back to the ice for an encore of sorts.

Hollweg rocked out in front of what was left of the crowd, playing Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin'” and “Sweet Home Alabama” by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Were the songs good? No, not particuarly. But was the performance entertaining? You betcha.
