FOXBORO, Mass. — The connection between Julian Edelman and Tom Brady goes far beyond the Gillette Stadium game field.

Edelman caught 11 passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns from Brady on Sunday in the New England Patriots’ 40-32 win over the Buffalo Bills. The Patriots receiver now has 22 catches for 194 yards on the season and is on pace for 176 catches for 1,552 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Edelman was asked if his connection with Brady is as strong as ever.

“This one time in Montana, we had a crazy connection. We were playing Jenga together,” Edelman said with a smirk. “It was little Jenga. We were a team. We made a connection through that.”

Edelman went on to answer the query seriously, though as usual, he was hard on himself.

“There’s multiple plays in the game we could have done better on,” Edelman said. “We’re just going to keep the train rolling and keep going.”

Brady is completing 71 percent of his targets to Edelman and 68.3 percent to other Patriots receivers.
