FOXBORO, Mass. — Dominique Easley only made it through eight plays in the New England Patriots’ Week 1 win, and he wasn’t back on the practice field Wednesday.

Easley suffered a hip injury Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers when he landed awkwardly on his side. He gingerly walked off the field with trainers and disappeared into the locker room for the remainder of the game.

Easley reportedly has a hip pointer and is expected to miss one to two weeks. It’s unlikely he’ll play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills if he can’t make it back on the practice field by Friday.

The Patriots had perfect practice attendance save for Easley’s absence. New Patriots linebackers Dekoda Watson and Eric Martin were wearing Nos. 53 and 45, respectively.
