John Jastremski and Jim McNally aren’t going to be punished.

Well, we should rephrase. If they keep their jobs, they won’t be punished. Sort of.

The NFL is considering reinstating Jastremski and McNally, but isn’t planning on imposing any penalties upon the two, according to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio.

NFL executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent reportedly will meet with the two, but “intends not to interrogate the suspended employees but to discuss their roles going forward,” according to Florio. The Patriots “will have representation in the room during the meeting,” he added.

When this all happens — reportedly “soon” — Jastremski and McNally won’t be suspended any more, but the report seems to imply that their jobs won’t be the same as they were before.
