FOXBORO, Mass. — Rob Gronkowski is ready for anything Rex Ryan will throw at him Sunday afternoon, even movie monsters.
The Buffalo Bills head coach joked Wednesday that Gronkowski can only be single-covered by King Kong. The Patriots tight end was asked about Ryan’s comment and delivered a very Patriots-esque response.
“I have to prepare for everyone,” Gronkowski said. “Just have to go out at practice and prepare for anyone at any time.”
Ryan has hinted the Bills might not only double-cover Gronkowski, but triple-team him. That would open up other Patriots targets including tight end Scott Chandler and third-down back Dion Lewis, who has taken multiple unsolicited jabs from Ryan this week.
