The Pittsburgh Steelers welcomed Le’Veon Bell back Sunday, but they may have just lost their quarterback.

UPDATE (Sunday, Sept. 27 at 4:50 p.m. ET): NFL Media’s Albert Breer reports Roethlisberger will have an MRI on Monday.

ORIGINAL STORY: Ben Roethlisberger suffered a scary injury when St. Louis Rams safety Mark Barron rolled up on the veteran QB, causing his left knee to bend in a very unnatural direction.

Roethlisberger stayed down on the field in obvious pain and later was carted off the field. The team announced Roethlisberger wouldn’t return.

Backup quarterback Michael Vick entered the game to replace Roethlisberger, and the initial speculation on his injury doesn’t look good.

Stay tuned for more updates on Roethlisberger’s status.
