Here we go again.

The New York Jets surely did plenty of scouting and game-planning ahead of their Week 7 game against the New England Patriots. The Jets’ pregame preparation even included making sure everything was up to snuff in their Gillette Stadium locker rooms, according to Boomer Esiason.

Esiason said Friday on WFAN the Jets requested the NFL check the visitor team’s locker room at Gillette Stadium ahead of their game with the Patriots last Sunday. The Jets, according to Esiason via the New York Post, wanted the NFL to check for any listening devices that might have been planted in the locker room.

However, a league source told the Post that Esiason’s claims were untrue. The NFL formally declined comment and referred to the Jets, who won’t comment on the matter, per the Post.

If the Jets did indeed ask the league to sweep the locker room for bugs, that’s a move Peyton Manning probably would endorse.
