Would you be surprised if a Colts fan spent lots of money to find a way for the NFL to put an asterisk in the record book next to the New England Patriots’ Super Bowl titles?

No, of course you wouldn’t.

According to WISH-TV, a man named Jim Purucker has created a campaign called the Asterisk Project, and his mission is exactly what you’d think it is.

“I don’t think this thing ought to go away and 10 years from now when people look at the record book and see this fantastic set of accomplishments that the Patriots have amassed,” Purucker said. “I think there ought to be an asterisk next to it.”

This is just another case where fans of teams that’ve lost to the Patriots in the playoffs for the last decade-plus are being sore losers.

Purucker even created a website for the Asterisk Project and is trying to collect donations for his cause. You can probably find better things to spend your hard-earned cash on.
