Greg Hardy Compliments Tom Brady, Won’t Revisit Controversial Comments

Tom Brady had the last laugh, so there really wasn’t much Greg Hardy could say Sunday after the New England Patriots dismantled the Dallas Cowboys 30-6 at AT&T Stadium.

Hardy made headlines leading up to the Week 5 game for using a poor choice of words to describe his return from a four-game suspension related to domestic abuse charges and for saying he hoped Brady’s wife, Gisele Bundchen, would attend the teams’ matchup in Dallas. The Cowboys defensive end declined to revisit those comments in the aftermath of New England’s convincing victory.

“Any other questions?” Hardy said after the game when asked by reporters in Dallas whether he had any regrets regarding his previous comments about Brady.

A reporter then followed up on the issue, after which Hardy again responded, “Any other questions?”

Hardy sacked Brady twice, so it wasn’t like the Pro Bowl end didn’t make an impact in his return. But Brady threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for another, in the Patriots’ win, so a tip of the cap certainly seemed in order. And Hardy at least provided that.

“Phenomenal player, man,” Hardy said of Brady. “They had a great game (Sunday). Everyone was clicking on their team and they did what they normally do.”

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who earlier in the week downplayed Hardy’s comments while offering an interesting take of his own, also declined to revisit the remarks, instead focusing on Dallas’ loss.
