Khloe Kardashian isn’t planning to get back together with Lamar Odom, but she’s staying true to their marriage vows.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star opened up to People recently about the former NBA forward and his ordeal in the hospital after being found unresponsive in a Las Vegas brothel. Kardashian said that despite the fact their divorce was nearly finalized, she felt she needed to be by his side.
“All I knew was I had to get there,” Kardashian told People. “I had to get to him and make sure he was OK. I hate that he was in that situation. I wouldn’t want anybody in that situation, especially someone I love and care about.”
Kardashian and Odom called off their divorce with Odom’s health in jeopardy, but she explained that doesn’t mean they’re thinking about fixing their relationship.
“There are too many other important things, too many medical things,” Kardashian said. “It’s not even in our brains thinking about us as a couple or having a relationship right now.”
Still, Kardashian said she’ll always love Odom, and for that reason, she plans to be there for him throughout his recovery from drug addiction.
“There is a very long road ahead of (Lamar),” Kardashian said. “He has to walk that road by himself, and, most importantly, he has to want to walk that road. I will be there supporting him every step of the way.”
