4:26 p.m.: There’s an update on Foster, and it’s indeed very bad.

4:10 p.m.: Houston Texans running back Arian Foster had to be carted off the field after his leg gave out in a non-contact injury against the Miami Dolphins. There’s no word on the extent of the injury, but it’s generally a bad prognosis if a player can’t leave the field without help.

3:53 p.m.: Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh McCown exited their game against the St. Louis Rams with a right shoulder injury, meaning it’s time for Johnny Manziel to end the fourth quarter.

The extent of McCown’s injury is unknown for now.

2:58 p.m.: Melvin Gordon will play for the Chargers after all.

11:40 a.m.: St. Louis Rams reporter Myles Simmons reported that running back Tre Mason is inactive, meaning Todd Gurley will be doing most of the work.

11:38 a.m.: It turns out K.C. actually will be without its top wideout. Jeremy Maclin reportedly passed concussion protocol, but he’s still experiencing symptoms.

10:40 a.m. Ben Roethlisberger will be inactive for the fourth consecutive game, per Steelers public relations spokesman Burt Lauten.

10:27 a.m.: New England Patriots wide receiver Brandon LaFell is being activated off the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, and it looks like he’ll get his fair share of reps Sunday.

10:09 a.m.: The latest on Roethlisberger’s situation, from NFL Media’s Albert Breer:

9:43 a.m.: Ben Roethlisberger’s status still is up in the air, but Ed Werder is reporting that the Steelers will start Landry Jones at quarterback:

9:15 a.m.: The Kansas City Chiefs should have the services of their top wide receiver, according to ESPN’s Ed Werder:

8:55 a.m.: It appears the San Diego Chargers are being cautious with rookie running back Melvin Gordon:

8:51 a.m.: Adrian Peterson was downgraded to questionable Saturday with an illness, but NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reports the Minnesota Vikings running back will be “good to go” Sunday.

8:47 a.m.: If you’re waiting for an injury update about Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, you might have to wait a little longer:

Roethlisberger has missed Pittsburgh’s last three contests with a sprained MCL.

8:40 a.m.: Bad news for the New England Patriots ahead of their showdown with the New York Jets comes via ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

Versatile running back Dion Lewis was listed as questionable on New England’s injury report, but this development still is a bit of a surprise.

8:35 a.m. ET: Week 7’s Sunday features a full slate of NFL action, and it’ll be a busy day on the injury front, too.

The Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars get us started early with a 9:30 a.m. ET kickoff from London. A few big names won’t be suiting up for that one, as quarterback Tyrod Taylor, running back Karlos Williams and wide receivers Sammy Watkins and Percy Harvin all are inactive for Buffalo. On the other side, Jaguars offensive stars T.J. Yeldon, Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns are active.

There will be plenty of other news to monitor throughout the day, including the status of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who hopes to return to action this week.
