FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots could be without two of their starting offensive linemen Sunday against the New York Jets.

Guard Shaq Mason and offensive tackle Marcus Cannon missed their second consecutive practice Thursday. Defensive end Jabaal Sheard and Rufus Johnson also were out for the second straight day.

Tre’ Jackson and Ryan Wendell likely would fill in for Mason against the Jets, rotating with starter Josh Kline. Cameron Fleming would be forced to fill in for Cannon at right tackle, and the Patriots likely would have to promote another offensive tackle, likely Blaine Clausell, from their practice squad.

Dont’a Hightower, Matt Slater, Dion Lewis, Bryan Stork and Brandon LaFell all participated in practice. LaFell is eligible to return from PUP this week. Stork can come off short-term injured reserve in Week 9.
