UPDATE (10 P.M. ET): While Fred Jackson did indeed crash into a stop sign after Tuesday’s practice, the Seattle Seahawks running back was not drag racing teammate Marshawn Lynch, according to local police.

“There is no evidence he was drag racing anyone,” Renton, Wash., police spokesman David Liebman said, via the Seattle Times. “He was leaving the facility, and he was clearly driving too fast when he hit a street sign.”

The drag race occurred right outside of the Seattle Seahawks’ practice facility on a public street, and it ended when Jackson crashed his car into a planter box and stop sign, according to TMZ Sports. The incident took place after practice.

FOX Sports 1 NFL Insider Mike Garafolo reported that Jackson was ‘fine” after the crash, and Lynch drove away uninjured, according to TMZ Sports.
