Monday’s ALCS Game 3 was a figurative smack in the face for the Kansas City Royals. It was a bit more than that for Eric Hosmer, though.
KC’s first baseman had one of the weirder at-bats you’ll see with his team trailing by seven runs.
Ouch.
We’re not sure what hurts more: that ball to the face, or the nine runs the Royals gave up to the Toronto Blue Jays in the second and third innings of Game 3.
Kansas City made things interesting late, but the Blue Jays ultimately pulled out an 11-8 win.
