San Diego Chargers running back Danny Woodhead opened the scoring on “Monday Night Football” against the Chicago Bears with a wide open touchdown reception.

The score had Woodhead’s teammate, Stevie Johnson, so excited he was jumping for joy. Literally.

That’s Johnson flying in to the end zone, hurdling the 5-foot-8 Woodhead in the process. Johnson has missed time with a hamstring injury this season, so the leaping ability served the dual purpose of comforting concerned Chargers fans.

We suppose it’s possible Johnson, who’s 6-foot-2, didn’t quite see Woodhead considering that no member of the Bears secondary did.

It wasn’t all Chargers in the first half, though. Bears quarterback Jay Cutler hit Martellus Bennet with a TD of his own — his 138th in the Windy City — passing Sid Luckman and becoming Chicago’s all-time leader in passing touchdowns in the process.
