David Ortiz is retiring from baseball after next season, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be out of the spotlight.

In fact, if the latest “Saturday Night Live” skit is any indication, the Boston Red Sox designated hitter, played by cast member Kenan Thompson, could have a lucrative career in advertising.

While none of those promotions are real, don’t be shocked to see Ortiz stay in the spotlight in his post-baseball life. Considering the early successes of both his acting and music careers in last summer’s Dunkin’ Donuts campaigns with New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, we think Big Papi will be just fine.
