Many fantasy football owners might be out of their playoff mix in their yearlong leagues. If that’s the case, it might be time to try your luck on daily fantasy sites such as FanDuel.

Here’s our Week 9 lineup for FanDuel.

Quarterback: Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders ($7,000)

Carr threw for 344 yards and four touchdowns in the Raiders’ 34-20 win over the New York Jets on Sunday, giving him seven touchdown passes and zero interceptions in his last two games. He also has a favorable matchup against a Pittsburgh Steelers defense giving up 270 passing yards per game and the sixth most passing yards overall.

Running Backs: Ronnie Hillman, Denver Broncos ($6,400); Todd Gurley, St. Louis Rams ($9,000)

Hillman still is receiving the bulk of the carries in the Broncos backfield and that should continue in Week 9 after he ran for 60 yards and two touchdowns against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night. He also has a favorable matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, who have the third-worst run defense.

Gurley ran for 566 yards and three touchdowns in the last four games. What else needs to be said for us to convince you to start him?

Wide Receivers: Tavon Austin, St. Louis Rams ($5,700); Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons ($9,200); Julian Edelman, New England Patriots ($8,000)

Tavon Austin has received five or more targets in five straight games, with a total of four touchdowns in that span. Julio Jones had another monster game in Week 8 with 10 catches for 162 yards and a touchdown. He’s received 10 or more targets in seven of Atlanta’s eight games and is the safest wide receiver pick you can make in DFS. Edelman has 305 receiving yards and four touchdowns in the last four weeks and is Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s most trusted target.

Tight End: Heath Miller, Pittsburgh Steelers ($5,800)

The Raiders give up a ton of fantasy points to opposing tight ends and Miller is a top 10 player at this position again because Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is healthy and back in the lineup. Miller has averaged nine receptions and 95 yards in the two games Roethlisberger has played this season, including a 10-catch, 105-yard performance in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Defense: Dallas Cowboys ($4,500)

The Cowboys defense played very well versus the Seattle Seahawks last week, giving up just 13 points with an interception. Dallas also has the 10th-best passing defense and the eighth-best rushing defense in terms of yards allowed.

Kicker: Sebastian Janikowski, Oakland Raiders ($4,500)

Janikowski ranks fifth among all kickers in FanDuel points per game with 9.3.
