Jordon Ibe wants to become a world-beater and he hopes Jurgen Klopp’s magic touch will transform him into one.

Ibe said Monday he hopes Klopp can develop him into a world-class player like he did at his previous club Borussia Dortmund, according to The Mirror’s David Anderson.

“He obviously did a great job at Borussia Dortmund,” Ibe said. “The fact that the young players he brought in were a big part of the success is very encouraging for guys like me.

“Of course, those youngsters at Dortmund didn’t just become a little bit better either — some of them, like Robert Lewandowski, have become players who are operating at the highest level in the Champions League. Hopefully he can help me and some of the lads here do the same.

Ibe, 19, has worked with Klopp for just one month but he already has admitted he feels like a new player. He scored his first goal for Liverpool last week in the Europa League win over Rubin Kazan and played well in the Premier League loss to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Ibe is gaining valuable experience at a young age and he hopes his qualities will keep him high in Klopp’s reckoning, as the German begins to shape the Liverpool squad to his liking.

“I’m hoping my attributes — pace and strength and being able to go past people — will suit the way he wants to play and I can get some opportunities.”

Klopp has spoken highly of Ibe. If Klopp adds a Polish twist to Ibe’s surname, we’ll know the Liverpool winger is on his way toward stardom.
