FOXBORO, Mass. — New England Patriots fans received a scare Wednesday when star wide receiver Julian Edelman’s knee popped up on the injury report.
Edelman was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday and was on the field again Friday. Edelman, following team policy, didn’t want to get into the details of his injury when asked what he would tell fans worried about his status.
“Tell them to ask Bill (Belichick),” Edelman said. “It’s team policy, I don’t want to go down that road. I practiced (Friday).”
That Edelman talked to the media at all this week is a good sign that he’ll suit up Sunday against the Washington Redskins. We’ll find out his official status Friday around 4 p.m. ET, when the injury report is released.
