UPDATE (10:22 p.m. ET): The silver lining has dulled and things aren’t looking good for Le’Veon Bell and his injured right knee.

UPDATE (6:00 p.m. ET): The Steelers are hopeful that Bell’s knee injury was contained to just his MCL and that the ACL is in tact, according to ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio, who cited a team source.

If that report is ultimately correct, Bell could miss a few games but his season shouldn’t be lost.

Original story: The Pittsburgh Steelers finally had all of their best offensive weapons healthy and in the lineup for the first time all season in Sunday’s matchup against the rival Cincinnati Bengals.

It didn’t last very long, though.

Pittsburgh lost superstar running back Le’Veon Bell to an apparent knee injury in the second quarter. He was tackled along the sideline and immediately grabbed his right knee. Medical personnel took him to the locker room on a cart.

The Steelers announced Bell is doubtful to return.

Bell has 511 rushing yards and three touchdowns this season. He missed the first two games because of a suspension.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger returned to game action Sunday for the first time since suffering a leg injury in Week 2.
