We’re finally getting some insight into the Lindsey Vonn-Tiger Woods breakup.
In a feature for the New York Times, the 31-year-old Olympic skier took an honest look at her relationship with ex-boyfriend Woods and why it maybe shouldn’t have happened.
“(Ex-husband) Thomas (Vonn) was really my first boyfriend, so I didn’t have a lot of dating experience,” Vonn said. “So jumping into a relationship right away after getting a divorce was probably not the smartest move on my part.”
Vonn married her ex-husband in 2007 at age 22. She started dating Woods in 2013 two months after her divorce.
“I don’t regret anything,” Vonn added. “I loved Tiger, and I had an amazing three years with him. But it was a learning experience as well. With every relationship, you learn what you need and what you want in a partner.”
