A group of NESN volunteers took on the Newton Parks and Recreation Tigers earlier this month in a competitive game of floor hockey. The result? A terrific day of fun for everyone involved.
The Tigers are a local group of special needs athletes between the ages of 16 and 25 who simply play for the love of the game. The group has been going strong for 15 years, and was the brainchild of two Newton dads. Tigers are an energetic and dedicated group that meets every weekend to battle it out on the playing field while also supporting one another.
Check out the photos below for some for some highlights from NESN’s most recent visit with the Tigers.
