NFL Super Pick ‘Em: Week 10 Locks Include Broncos, Jaguars, Eagles
Going into last week’s “Monday Night Football” game, NESN.com’s super-picking trio of Mike Cole, Ricky Doyle and Ben Watanabe joked you could have bet the farm on the Chicago Bears.
Part of that stemmed from the San Diego Chargers’ historic inability to win against the spread at home. The other was that Tom Brady’s Emails, NESN.com’s entrant into the Westgate SuperContest as part of Team OddsShark, was 2-2 in SuperContest picks and took the Bears in that game.
As you’re likely aware, the Bears won 22-19 as four-point underdogs.
That gave TBE its fifth straight 3-2 week against the spread, helping it stay within striking distance of the leader in fourth place in the Team OddsShark standings. Things only get tougher this week, though, which forced some drastic measures — including taking Jacksonville for the first time all season.

Green Bay Packers (-11.5) vs. Detroit Lions, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wis.
Yeah, yeah. The Pack has lost two in a row straight-up and three consecutive against the spread. But they’ve whipped up on the league’s bottom-feeders, of which Detroit is decidedly one. The Lions have one ATS spread all season, a fluky 13-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on “Monday Night Football,” and they’re 1-5 ATS in their last six games at Lambeau.
Carolina Panthers (-5.5) vs. Tennessee Titans, Sunday, 1 p.m.
Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tenn.
The Titans have beaten the spread as underdogs twice in the last two weeks. Good for them. Yet while there is some danger of a Carolina letdown after its victory over the Packers, only a fool would bet against a team that’s 6-2 ATS on the season coming off an eight-point win over the best quarterback in the NFC.
Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5) vs. Miami Dolphins, Sunday, 1 p.m.
Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia
The Eagles are 6-3 ATS in their last nine home games and 5-0 ATS in their last five against Miami. The Dolphins, meanwhile, are who we thought they were before the two-game blip to begin the Dan Campbell regime. The absence of Cameron Wake also should give Sam Bradford plenty of time to throw the ball as Philly’s offensive line keys on Ndamukong Suh.
Jacksonville Jaguars (+5.5) vs. Baltimore Ravens, Sunday, 1 p.m.
M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore
Lock up the Jags! Believe it or not, Jacksonville is better ATS on the road (2-2) than Baltimore is at home (0-3). They’ve beaten spreads of plus-7.5 and plus-3 in the last two weeks, too, against better competition than the lowly Ravens. We probably shouldn’t feel so confident here, since they’re still the Jaguars, but we do.
Denver Broncos (-6) vs. Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday, 4:25 p.m.
Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Denver
The Broncos are at home, where they don’t lose (3-0 SU, 2-1 ATS), and they’re 5-1 ATS in their last six against the Chiefs. Kansas City has won two straight ATS, but those came against Detroit and Pittsburgh, and Denver has no reason to be complacent after last week’s letdown in Indianapolis.
