Alabama running back Derrick Henry won the 2015 Heisman Trophy on Saturday night, becoming the second player in the school’s storied history to claim college football’s most prestigious award.

Henry beat out Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson and Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey.

Henry led the nation with 1,986 rushing yards. He also scored 23 rushing touchdowns and had at least 100 yards and a touchdown against all seven of the ranked opponents the Crimson Tide played this season.

He helped Alabama finish 12-1 and defeat Florida in the SEC Championship Game. Alabama was No. 2 in the final College Football Playoff rankings and will play Michigan State in one of the national semifinals.
