Add Peyton Manning’s former team to his list of vocal supporters.

The Indianapolis Colts released a statement Sunday backing Manning in the wake of an Al Jazeera report claiming the quarterback received human growth hormone during his recovery from multiple neck surgeries in 2011.

The complete statement is below.

Charlie Sly, the pharmacist who linked Manning to HGH in the report, since has recanted his story, but the controversy is generating plenty of buzz. The Denver Broncos also released a statement supporting Manning and the veteran signal caller lashed out against the allegations during an exclusive interview with ESPN’s Lisa Salters during Sunday’s NFL pregame coverage.

Manning, of course, played 14 seasons with the Colts before signing with the Broncos prior to the 2012 campaign.
