FOXBORO, Mass. — Jimmy Garoppolo must have impressed in practice as he imitated a former New England Patriots backup quarterback.

Garoppolo was named one of six Patriots practice players of the week for his work in preparing New England’s starters for the Houston Texans and starting quarterback Brian Hoyer. Linebacker Brandon King, defensive ends Rob Ninkovich and Geneo Grissom, center David Andrews and fullback Joey Iosefa also earned the honor.

The Patriots held Hoyer to just 155 yards with no touchdowns on 11-of-22 passing. Hoyer was sacked six times.
