Paul PierceMatthew Dellavedova won Game 3 of the NBA Finals for the Cleveland Cavaliers. That LeBron James guy was pretty impressive, too.

Kristaps Porzingis has given New York Knicks fans hope for the first time in a generation after nearly being booed off the stage on draft night. Karl-Anthony Towns, while being mentored by Kevin Garnett, is looking like a future face of the NBA (and his buddy Andrew Wiggins is right there with him).

Kobe Bryant is retiring. Paul Pierce might, too. There was an emoji war that captivated the nation over the summer during a DeAndre Jordan saga that led to Blake Griffin barricading the Los Angeles Clippers big man inside his own home.

The Boston Celtics jump-started their rebuild and made the playoffs with impressive play down the stretch.

And while the Golden State Warriors are re-defining what basketball looks like, the San Antonio Spurs, led by superstar-in-training Kawhi Leonard and newly-signed All-Stars LaMarcus Aldridge and David West, are hanging around as a best-team-in-the-league contender in typical ho-hum fashion.
