One of the winningest college football coaches of all time looks to end his career on a high note.
Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer will roam the sideline for the final time Saturday night when his Hokies play the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in the Camping World Independence Bowl. Virginia Tech secured its 23rd consecutive bowl appearance in Beamer’s 29th and final year at the helm with its 23-20 win over rival Virginia in November. Beamer was carried off the field by his players after the win, and he even dabbed in the locker room.
