Andy Reid is known for his, well, large frame, and apparently, that always was the case.

The Kansas City Chiefs head coach took part in a Punt, Pass and Kick competition during a Los Angeles Rams “Monday Night Football” game back in 1971 when he was 13 years old. But when you look at him next to the rest of his competition, you’ll see why this is noteworthy.

Someone probably should have check Reid’s birth certificate before the contest.

Back when he still was the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, Reid said in an interview with ESPN’s Jon Gruden that the kids behind him actually were 8 years old. But Reid still looks like a 6-footer, or close to it.

And if Reid is teaching quarterback Alex Smith to throw like that, the New England Patriots should have no problem when they take on the Chiefs on Saturday at Gillette Stadium in the AFC Divisional Playoff.
