Tom Brady is the greatest player in Super Bowl history … according to ESPN.

With Super Bowl 50 a little more than a week away, ESPN has been counting down the top 50 players in the big game’s history. On Thursday, it revealed its top 10, with the New England Patriots quarterback taking the top spot.

“Brady’s relentless pursuit of the ‘next one,’ which is a yearlong endeavor in which he shapes his eating habits and sleep patterns around being at his best on the football field, is as strong as ever at the age of 38,” ESPN.com’s Mike Reiss wrote for the countdown. “Brady is only the third quarterback in NFL history to lead his team to four Super Bowl wins, joining his boyhood idol, Joe Montana, and Terry Bradshaw, and he’s a three-time Super Bowl MVP, which matches Montana for the most ever. Brady is also the all-time leader in Super Bowl passing yards (1,605), touchdown passes (13) and starts (six).”

ESPN also produced this video to go along with the ranking.

Brady wasn’t the only Patriots player to make the list. Here are the other three New England legends considered by ESPN to be among the top Super Bowl players of all time.

45. Rodney Harrison
43. Adam Vinatieri
30. Deion Branch

The Pro Football Hall of Fame also announced its Super Bowl 50 Golden team Thursday. Brady didn’t make the list, nor did head coach Bill Belichick. Vinatieri was the lone Patriots representative as the team’s kicker.
