Ex-Chiefs Lineman Cracks Deflategate Joke Before Patriots Playoff Game

Shaun Smith had quite a week on Twitter.

The former NFL lineman first responded to some social media critics last week by tweeting a photo of a gun — a tweet that’s since been deleted — when questioned about his opinions going into Saturday’s AFC Wild Card Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans.

Then, after Kansas City won that game, 30-0, setting up a divisional round matchup between the Chiefs and New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium, Smith returned to Twitter to again share his two cents.

Smith, who played for the Chiefs during the 2010 and 2012 seasons, trolled the Patriots hard, cracking a Deflategate joke in an obvious attempt to stir the pot.

Mission accomplished, as several Pats fans fired back over the weekend with fiery responses.
