Anthony Smith will be behind bars for the rest of his life.

The former first-round draft pick was sentenced to life in prison Friday in California for the murders of two men in 1999 and one man in 2001, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Smith, 48, was found guilty in November of murdering Ricky Nettles, Kevin Nettles and Dennis Henderson. Smith also was being tried for a 2008 murder at the time, but that case ended in a mistrial.

The then-Los Angeles Raiders drafted Smith 11th overall in 1990, and the defensive end played seven seasons for the franchise. He had 57.5 sacks in 98 career games.
