Junichi Tazawa officially is sticking around Fenway Park for another season.

The Boston Red Sox and the right-handed relief pitcher agreed to a one-year, non-guaranteed contract for the 2016 season. Red Sox president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski made the announcement Wednesday.

The deal allows for the two sides to avoid salary arbitration, leaving Robbie Ross Jr. as the only Red Sox player still eligible for it.

The 29-year-old joined the Red Sox in 2008 as an international free agent, and he’s been with the organization ever since. He made his Boston debut in 2009, and he has been an important member of the Red Sox’s bullpen since 2012. He appeared in 61 games for the Red Sox in 2015, posting a 2-7 record, three saves, 56 strikeouts and a 4.14 ERA.
