You know that iconic Super Bowl ad featuring “Mean” Joe Greene and a young boy brave enough to offer the NFL legend a bottle of Coca-Cola? Of course you do.

Well, it’s been nearly 40 years since the commercial aired, and Greene and the boy, Tommy Okon, marked the occasion by reuniting for a new video honoring the ad and their friendship.

The original commercial debuted in October 1979 and later aired during Super Bowl XIV. It featured Okon offering a hobbled Greene a Coke, at which point the former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle pounded the soda and tossed the kid his jersey in appreciation.

“I think the people that created it wrote a great commercial that really tells a story,” Okon, now all grown up, recently told PEOPLE magazine. ” … That commercial’s kind of what Joe is: tough, football player, who’s a nice guy.”

The new video was shot for the upcoming “Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials 2016” special on CBS. Greene got sentimental filming the reenactment, according to PEOPLE, saying the commercial still is special after all these years.
