Josh Gordon wants back into the NFL.

The Cleveland Browns wide receiver was suspended indefinitely in February 2015 after failing a third drug and alcohol test in three years. The indefinite suspension meant he would have to apply to the NFL for reinstatement no earlier than 60 days prior to the one-year mark of his suspension, and ESPN Cleveland reported Wednesday he did just that.

Gordon will have to wait no more than 60 days to learn whether he’s been reinstated. His contract tolled to 2016, meaning it rolled over to the next season after he was suspended. If reinstated, Gordon will be with the Browns for one more season before becoming a restricted free agent in 2017.

The 24-year-old wideout has played just five games over the last two NFL seasons. Gordon was suspended for most of 2014 after receiving a DUI and was suspended for all of 2015 after testing positive for alcohol again before the season. In an open letter on The Cauldron this past summer, Gordon was apologetic and said he had a few drinks on a flight to Las Vegas with teammates and was served a notice to be drug tested upon landing.

Gordon currently holds Browns records for single-season receiving yards (1,646), single-season yards per game (117.6) and career yards per game (78.7).
