Seahawks Fans Outraged Over Panthers’ Ban Of Large ’12’ Banners

The 12s will be a little less obnoxious Sunday.

Bank of America Stadium banned visiting Seattle Seahawks fans from bringing large “12” banners to the stadium for Sunday’s NFC Divisional Playoff game against the Carolina Panthers.

To be fair, though, it’s not just Seahawks fans — no one is allowed to have signs larger than two feet by two feet that can be held by one person.

“The policy is 24-by-24 (inches) and one person has to hold it,” Scott Paul, the Panthers’ director of stadium operations, said, via KIRO7 Seattle. “So if something’s obviously larger than that 24-by-24 or obstructing someone from behind, our people will get involved. Otherwise, as long as it’s a football-related message, we’re going to allow it. That’s really no change in policy. The only thing we changed was size.”

The change originally came back in November when Panthers quarterback Cam Newton infamously tore down a Green Bay Packers fan’s sign.

One clever Seahawks fan thought she had a solution, though.

We’ll see if those excitable 12s have anything up their sleeves.
