The worst part about the Denver Broncos beating the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game? The Twitter backlash from Shannon Sharpe.

Sharpe mixed it up with Patriots fans earlier this season after the Broncos won the teams’ Week 12 matchup. The former Broncos tight end was back at it Sunday night following Denver’s 20-18 win, arguing with disgruntled Patriots fans on Twitter and basking in their anguish.

Sharpe, of course, played 12 seasons with the Broncos during his Hall of Fame career. He won two of his three Super Bowl rings with Denver — his other came with the Baltimore Ravens — and solidified himself as one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history. His pride obviously runs deep.

When it comes to throwing down on social media, Sharpe transcends ridiculousness, even though it’s well within his rights to gloat after what happened Sunday in Denver.

Below are some highlights (and lowlights) from Sharpe’s most recent Twitter beef with Pats fans, which might not end until his focus shifts to Carolina Panthers fans and the Broncos’ upcoming Super Bowl 50 matchup.
