The Boston Celtics are looking for a season sweep of the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center on Monday night.
Boston won its three previous contests against the Wizards this season in terrific offensive displays, and the C’s haven’t scored less than 111 points in any of those meetings. While the first two games were blowouts (118-98 and 111-78 wins, respectively), Boston’s last of those wins came nine days ago when Wizards point guard John Wall missed a game-tying layup at the buzzer.
Washington has gone 1-1 since then (with Saturday’s contest against the Utah Jazz postponed because of a snowstorm), while Boston has gone 2-2 in that stretch.
