The Boston Bruins made a pair of roster moves Saturday, roughly 48 hours ahead of the NHL trade deadline.

The Bruins sent forward Tyler Randell to the Providence Bruins for conditioning and placed veteran forward Max Talbot on waivers.

Talbot has scored two goals and seven assists in 54 games with Boston since coming over in a trade with the Colorado Avalanche in March 2015. Of those games, 36 have come this season, and he also has played 10 contests in the American Hockey League for Providence.

Randell has five goals and 47 penalty minutes in 25 games during the 2015-16 season, his first full campaign in the NHL. The Bruins’ 2009 sixth-round draft pick has played in parts of four seasons in the AHL.
