Devin McCourty: ‘I’ve Never Known (Bill Belichick) To Make Any Mistakes’

This is a tough week for Devin McCourty, whose New England Patriots fell one win shy of reaching their second consecutive Super Bowl. The safety almost certainly will wonder Sunday what could’ve been while watching the Denver Broncos face the Carolina Panthers for the NFL’s biggest prize.

But as McCourty explained Thursday on Radio Row, the Patriots’ AFC Championship Game loss to the Broncos could have gone either way. And there’s zero chance he’ll question head coach Bill Belichick, who faced some scrutiny after the defeat for a few questionable decisions.

“I’ve never known him to make any mistakes,” McCourty told NESN.com’s Ashley Allen. ” … It’s an honest answer.”

The Patriots safety was joined Thursday on Radio Row by his brother, Jason, who plays for the Tennessee Titans. The siblings broke down their keys to Sunday’s Broncos-Panthers matchup, with each having a different opinion on which team will emerge victorious.
