DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — By watching a NASCAR race on TV, most fans know about the pits and vaguely understand there is a garage where cars get worked on during race week.

Many fans might not be aware, however, that there is another key area where much of the magic happens.

The hauler is one of the most important pieces of a NASCAR team’s arsenal, serving as office, storage area, workshop and more for all the unseen work required to get a stock car running at peak performance.

Rodney Fetters, pit crew coach for Trevor Bayne’s No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing team, provided a tour of his team’s trailer as the crew prepared for the 2016 Daytona 500.

Get a behind-the-scenes look with Fetters and NESN Fuel’s Ashley Allen over on NESNFuel.com.
