The Johnny Manziel situation is starting to sound very dire.

The Cleveland Browns quarterback continues to have off-field issues, and his inner circle is starting to get truly concerned. Manziel was dumped Friday by his agent, Erik Burkhardt, and Manziel’s father now is telling The Dallas Morning News he’s very concerned about his son’s well-being.

“I truly believe if they can’t get him help, he won’t live to see his 24th birthday,” Manziel’s father, Paul, told The Dallas Morning News.

The Manziel family is upping its efforts to get the 23-year-old the treatment he needs. According to the report, his family tried to get Manziel to go to an addiction facility one day after his ex-girlfriend accused him of hitting her in an alleged incident.

Then on Tuesday, Paul Manziel told The Dallas Morning News, the family tried to have Manziel admitted to Carrollton Springs, a rehab hospital in Carollton, Texas. The younger Manziel was allowed to leave the facility, reportedly upsetting his father, who believes his son could be suicidal.

According to a report from a Dallas TV station, Manziel allegedly threatened to kill both himself and his ex-girlfriend.
