Tobias Harris had his life turned upside down, but he still went out of his way to do something nice for kids.
The Orlando Magic forward became a Detroit Pistons forward Tuesday when he was part of what’s been the NBA’s biggest trade so far ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline.
Being traded rarely comes at a good time, especially in the middle of a season, as you have to pack up some of your stuff and totally transplant your life to a different city. But despite that hanging over his head, Harris still kept his word and honored a commitment to speak with a group of children on behalf of the Deeper Fellowship Church in Orlando.
The church’s pastor, William McDowell, posted a photo of Harris speaking to the children with a caption that indicated the get-together came after Harris learned of the deal.
