Los Angeles Lakers point guard D’Angelo Russell made a mistake, and now he’s apologizing.

But will it be enough for his teammates?

Russell taped a video of Lakers teammate Nick Young late last year, during which Young, who’s currently engaged to pop star Iggy Azalea, talks about his exploits with other women. It appeared Young was not aware that Russell was filming it, and the video surfaced not too long ago.

As you might imagine, the Lakers are not happy. So much so it appears they are shunning him on and off the court.

Well, Russell apologized Wednesday.

“I am sick,” Russell told The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski. “I am sorry about recording the video. I can’t repeat myself enough on that: I am sorry I recorded that video. I feel horrible. I wish this never happened.”

If you were wondering if Young would accept his teammate’s apology, he tweeted this Wednesday night, but it has since been deleted. We captured a screenshot.

That tweet came about a half hour after this tweet from Los Angeles Times Lakers beat writer Mike Bresnahan.

We haven’t heard the last of this story, you can be certain of that.
