It took all of two and a half minutes for Isaiah Thomas to find his way onto the highlight reel Monday night. Although this time, he worked his magic on the defensive end.
Early in the first quarter of the Boston Celtics’ matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center, Clippers guard Chris Paul pounced on a Celtics turnover and appeared on his way to an easy layup.
Enter the 5-foot-9 Thomas, who somehow chased Paul down from behind and swatted his layup attempt into the seats for a perfectly clean block.

Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time the vertically challenged All-Star has rejected someone, as DeMarcus Cousins and Trevor Ariza can attest. But this one might be his finest work yet.
