Indoor lacrosse is a bit like hockey on grass. So, in that analogy, Alex Buque played the Tim Thomas role Saturday night to Karsen Leung’s Henrik Sedin.

Buque is a goaltender for the National Lacrosse League’s Colorado Mammoth, and he landed a, well, mammoth hit on Leung during an overtime win over the Calgary Roughnecks, which aired live on NESNplus.

Buque actually came on in relief Saturday night, taking over for starter Dillon Ward after Ward allowed Calgary’s first 10 goals. The Whitby, Ontario, native helped backstop the Mammoth to a 13-12 victory, and he does not look like a man we’d like to get hit by.
