NFL fans will be given an inside look at the Rams’ return to Los Angeles.

The NFL announced Wednesday that the Rams will be featured on the 2016 edition of HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” which will debut this summer. The Rams, of course, are returning to Los Angeles after spending the last 21 seasons in St. Louis.

“From the moment it was announced the Rams would be returning to the Los Angeles market, this franchise felt like a natural for the next season of ‘Hard Knocks,’ ” said Ken Rodgers, coordinating producer of NFL Films, according to a press release. “We look forward to capturing the move to Southern California, training camp and everything in-between.”

This marks the 11th season of “Hard Knocks,” which will kick off Tuesday, Aug. 9, exclusively on HBO. The five-episode season will chronicle the Rams’ early days in L.A., focusing on the daily lives of players and coaches as they progress through training camp. This is the first time “Hard Knocks” will feature a team from the NFC West.

“This is an exciting time for our franchise,” Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said. ” ‘Hard Knocks’ will be an outstanding way to bring our fans into our training camp and preseason, and give a glimpse of the hard work and dedication of our players, coaches and staff as we prepare for the 2016 season.”

The Rams are coming off a 2015 campaign in which they went 7-9 and finished third in the NFC West. The team hasn’t made the playoffs since the 2004 season.
